  • A clinical recovery session focused on structural restoration and physical symptom management, designed specifically for individuals who are needle-adverse or needle-sensitive. This treatment integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) manual therapy (Tui Na) and cupping with targeted acupuncture utilizing low-profile Pyonex intradermal needles. These tiny, specialized needles are safely placed before and during the session to provide continuous, gentle stimulation to targeted points without the sensation of traditional needles, allowing the practitioner to simultaneously conduct manual therapy to release myofascial tension and support mobility. Ideal for athletic recovery and stress-induced tension, each session begins with a factual clinical evaluation to tailor the care to your physical needs.

Provided by a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac), this service is HST exempt and typically insurance-eligible under Acupuncture coverage (please verify with your provider that your specific plan covers services performed by an R.Ac).

  • What's the difference between a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) and a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP)?

At our clinic, you'll find both a Registered Acupuncturist and a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner.

A Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) is an expert in acupuncture, focusing on using fine needles to treat a variety of conditions.

A Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) has a broader scope. In addition to acupuncture, they can provide a full TCM diagnosis and offer personalized herbal prescriptions and TCM dietary advice to treat the root cause of your condition.

Both professionals provide a high level of care, but the R.TCMP offers a more comprehensive treatment approach by integrating all aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine.tion

  • In Ontario, a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) is authorized to perform acupuncture. However, a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) holds a broader scope of practice. This advanced registration means your practitioner is qualified to provide a comprehensive TCM diagnosis and to use a wider range of therapeutic tools.

When you book a session with our R.TCMP, you are gaining access to additional therapies that can accelerate your healing:

    • Herbal Prescriptions: Your R.TCMP can create customized herbal formulas tailored to your specific TCM diagnosis. This potent and individualized therapy can address the root cause of your condition, working synergistically with your acupuncture treatments.

    • TCM Dietary & Lifestyle Advice: Diet and lifestyle are considered foundational pillars of health in TCM. Your practitioner will provide you with personalized recommendations to help you make informed choices that support your body's unique constitution and promote long-term well-being.

By choosing our clinic, you benefit from the combined power of expertly-applied acupuncture and the in-depth knowledge of a practitioner who can guide you on a holistic path to health through the full spectrum of Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies.
